William Morton Perks

William Morton Perks was born in Mercer County, Mo. November 28, 1900 and departed this life January 11, 1931 at the age of 30 years, 1 month and 13 days. He was united in marriage to Grace Lucille Umphress in April, 1923. To this union one child was born, Eula Darlene, aged 7.

He leaves to mourn his departure his little daughter, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. U.R. Perks, three sisters; Mrs. Charles Manchester, Mrs Ralph Stanford and Mrs. Raymond Naylor all of Leon, Iowa; two brothers Pearl Perks of Leon, and Merle Perks of Robertsdale, PA; an aged grandmother, Mary Fogleman of Des Moines, Iowa, and a host of other relatives and friends. One sister Thelma, preceded him in death.

Funeral Services were held at the Stewart Funeral Home January 13, conducted by Mr. Geo. R. Lamb, pastor of the Pentecostal church. Interment was made in the Leon cemetery.
