Lona (Freeman) Gammon Perks Lona Perks, daughter of Marilda Lovina Gammon and Fred R. Freeman, born April 7, 1900, died at the Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa, February 18, 1968 at the age of 67 years, 10 months and 11 days.
She was united in marriage June 18, 1921, to Alva Pearl Perks and to this union were born three children: Mary Maurine Bunch, Bellevue, Wash.; Raymond Keith Perks, Tulsa, Okla.; and Curtis Duane Perks, Des Moines.
She joined the Leon Brethren church February, 1920. She was employed at the Decatur County Hospital for 22 years.
She is survived by her three children, a son-in-law Don Bunch, Bellevue; two daughters-in-law, Faye Ross Perks, Tulsa and Myrna Williams Perks, Des Moines; six grandchildren, Juanita and Donnie Bunch; Patricia Perks; Ricky, Ronnie and Carla Perks; brother, Lewis Gammon, Derby; two aunts, Ella Campbell, Leon and Treulie Morris, Lamar, Colo.; other relatives and friends.
