Lillie Adel Fogelman Perks Lillie Adel Fogelman, daughter of Mary Jane and William Fogelman, was born on July 4, 1880, in Harrison county, Mo. She passed away at the Decatur County Hospital on November 25, 1959, at the age of 79 years, four months and 21 days.
She was united in marriage to Uriah Perks, on April 13, 1899. To this union seven children were born. Those preceding her in death were her husband, Uriah Perks, and three children, Mort, Merle and Thelma; mother and father; one brother; four sisters; one grandchild and two great grand children. Those left to mourn her departure are three daughters and one son. They are Pearl Perks of Runnells, Iowa; Letha Manchester of Decatur, Iowa; Beulah Hatfiefd of Decatur, Iowa; and Lela Chlopek of Runnells, Iowa, 11 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; three sons-in-law; one daughter-in-law; several nieces and nephews; one cousin and several friends.
She was baptized in the Christian church in the year 1914 and attended church whenever she could. She loved to be in the house of the Lord. She was a kind and loving mother and always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
For the past three years she has spent most of her time with her two daughters, Letha and Beulah, since the death of her husband.
A loved one from us has gone,
A voice we loved is still,
A vacant chair in our home,
Which never can be filled.Funeral services were held at the Slade Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m.. Sunday, November 29, 1959 conducted by the Rev. Elza Logdson. Burial was made in the Leon cemetery.
