RACHEL MARIAH PACE was born in Warren County, Indiana, February l6,
l840; moved to Iowa with her father, JESSE DOAN, in l854; she united
with the M.E. Church in l856; was married to WM. PACE, July l, l858.
She was the mother of nine children; seven boys and two girls, eight of
which survive her; one boy having died in infancy.

She died August l9, l89l, at the age of 5l years, 6 months and 3 days.
She had been a sufferer from cancer for many months.  Her body was
buried in the cemetery near the Dunkard Church.
