DEBORAH BROWN POST was born February 28, l827, in Marion, N.Y. She

moved with her parents to Coles County, Ill., and later to Hancock

County. When l6 years of age she united with the L.D.S. Church. The

family moved to Voree, Wis., where the subject of this sketch was

married to WM. TRIPP when nineteen years of age. To this union was born

one child who now resides in Sparta, Wis. At the age of 23 she was left

a widow.

She moved to Big Beaver Island, Mich., where she married WARREN POST in

l840. Eight children were born to this union, four sons and four

daughters, all of whom survive her. In l856 the family moved to Dupage

County, Ill., and in l860 to Leon. Afterwards they resided in Lacrosse

and Trempealeau Counties, Wis. In l880 MRS. POST returned to Decatur

County and died at Davis City, aged 74 years, 2 months and 5 days.
