Little ALTA MAY PIERCY was born in Bloomington Township and died

February 28, l90l, aged 2 years and 28 days. She bore her great

sufferings patiently. She was an unusually bright and thoughtful child

and will be greatly missed in the home circle.

After funeral services, she was laid to rest in the Lilly Cemetery.

The vacant place, the vacant chair,

We see them day by day;

And oh, it fills our hearts with care

Since our loved one went away.

Darling Alta, you have left us,

And thy loss we deeply feel;

But 'tis God who has bereft us,

He can all our sorrows heal.
