VAN WERT NEWS:

MR. ED OWEN and wife had the misfortune to lose their little daughter last Thursday night. This leaves their home desolate and they have the sympathy of the whole community in their sad bereavement, for:

'Twas sent like a ray of sunshine,
To last for a moment's time,
And then return to its maker.
To that haven of rest sublime,
When our life's work all is over,
And our last good bye we say,
May we be as sure of Heaven,
As the little one laid away.
