CLAIRETTE E. OSBORNE, only daughter of FRANK and MARY OSBORNE, died at their home west of Davis City, Ia., Sept. 3rd, l896, aged l3 years, 6 months and 2 days. The bereaved parents have the sympathy of the entire community.

She has gone from earth, in Heaven to dwell,
Leaving those she loved so well.
'Tis sad indeed, sad news to hear,
That death has claimed our sister dear,
She has gone from earth; though short her stay.
God has seen fit to take her away.
Let us like her, be ready all
To answer when the Lord shall call.

Sleep on dear Ettie, take thy sweet rest,
Thy soul is numbered with the blest;
Pain and sorrow are thine no more,
Sweet peace is thine on that blest shore.
Though sad our hearts, though tears we shed,
Now thou art numbered with the dead,
We'll try by deeds of Christian love
To meet thee in thy home above.
