AMANDA MYRTLE SIMPSON was born in Decatur County, Iowa, June l, l878,

and died in Leon, November 7, l903, being 25 years, 5 months and 6 days

old. Her girlhood days were spent in Leon and vicinity. She was

married to R.L. MARVIN, June 5, l895. She leaves three children, the

youngest being a baby six weeks old. She had been in failing health for

some time.

She sought and found her Savior some time ago and died in the triumph of

a living faith. She leaves besides her three children, her husband,

father, mother, and other relatives to mourn her departure. The funeral

services were conducted at the Baptist Church, Sunday at 3 p.m. by H.H.

Hubbell, Pastor of the Christian Church. Interment was in the Leon

Cemetery.
