In the death of PATRICK MULLIN, who died at his home near Weldon last Friday, Decatur County lost one of its pioneer settlers and a good old man who had not an enemy in the whole world. MR. MULLIN was born in County Kerry, Ireland, abut the year l832. His father died when he was quite young and when he was ten years old, he came to America. Nearly fifty years ago he came to Decatur County and settled on a farm in Eden Township where he resided until a few years ago when he sold it and moved on a farm near Weldon. He was married to MARGARET C. HOFFHINES, a native of Ohio, and they were the parents of fourteen children, nine sons and five daughters.

The funeral was held on Sunday from the Catholic Church in Woodland, interment in the Catholic Cemetery.
