CALLA DEAN PAXTON was born near Garden Grove, August 10th, 1881, came with her parents to this place in l893, since which time she has resided here. She was married to WALTER E. MILLER June 8, l904, and died July 28th, the same year, aged 22 years, 11 months and 18 days, after only seven weeks of married life, only three of which were spent in her new home. She leaves a loving grief stricken family, consisting of the young husband, the aged grandparents, the father and mother, and brother and sisters, to whom the sympathy of the entire community go out, especially will she be missed by her young associates who were deeply attached to her by her bright and lovable ways, her pleasant smile and happy disposition.
The funeral services were conducted on Sunday afternoon at the Presbyterian Church by the Pastor, Rev. J.Q. Hall. It was one of the most largely attended funerals ever held here and the service was especially impressive. MRS. MILLER's death has saddened many hearts but especially is the young husband's home which is most desolate of all, where she came as a bride but seven short weeks ago, with a bright happy future before her. The deepest sympathy of the entire community is extended to the bereaved ones.
