REBECCA PRESTON MCNAIR was born in Coshocton Co., Ohio, August l9th, l829. Died at her home in Davis City, Iowa, March 20th, l900, aged 70 years, 7 months and one day. Deceased was married to ADAM MCNAIR April 6th, l849. To this union seven children were born; four boys and three girls. The husband and three daughters have preceded her to the better land. She united with the United Brethren Church about the year of l87l and has ever been a faithful member. she was a kind and loving mother, loved by everyone. She leaves four sons, two daughters-in-law, three grandchildren, one sister and two brothers to mourn her loss.

Short funeral services were conducted by Elder Nephi Lovell at the residence, after which the remains were laid to rest in the South Cemetery at Pleasanton.
