The remains of the late MRS. JOHN LEEPER, who died at her home in Burlington, Iowa, at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday morning, will arrive in Leon today and funeral services will be held at the Christian Church this afternoon at l o'clock, interment being in the Leon Cemetery.

The deceased was born in Highland County, O., April l2, l85l, and at an early date came west with her parents, settling at Davis City. Her maiden name was LUCINDA E. GIBLER. She was married to JOHN W. LEEPER at Davis City, August 30, l874, and was for several years a resident of Leon, MR. LEEPER being County Recorder. They removed to Burlington in l88l, where they have since resided.

MRS. LEEPER was a prominent member of the Christian Church and her many good qualities won for her a lasting place in the hearts of all who knew her. Besides scores of friends, her death is deeply mourned by her husband, only son FRANK LEEPER, and two sisters, MRS. JENNIE BOWMAN of this city and MRS. LIZZIE COLLIER, of Burlington.

For several years MRS. LEEPER had been a great sufferer and although the best physicians were consulted and she submitted to several operations, her health could not be restored.
