JOHN LEE, son of W.E. and C.V. LEE was born in Denver, Colorado, Dec. 6, l895 and died at his home near Davis City, Feb. 3rd, l899 at l:50 a.m., aged 3 years, l month and 27 days. Since early in July he had been a patient little sufferer, having at that time been deprived of the use of his vocal organs but in all his suffering he was a patient cheerful child displaying rare sweetness of disposition. In his disease he appeared, as indeed he was, one who had peacefully fallen asleep in the arms of Jesus. The death entering this home has deprived the fond parents of many ambitions and hopes and brought deep sorrow into their lives, but we need not mourn as those who have no hope "for of such is the Kingdom of Heaven."

Funeral services were held Sunday Feb. 5th at the home and the remains were laid to rest in the Davis City Cemetery.
