EDITH, the youngest daughter of JAMES E. and MARY S. TEALE, was born in Davis City, Sept. 30, l877 and died at the family residence Wednesday, Feb. 2l, l900 of consumption, aged 22 years, 4 months and 2l days. Her life was one of happiness and usefulness, her friends were many, yet she was called to leave all and go to that bright and happy home to join her mother who had gone before. She was a devout Christian, a member of the Presbyterian Church and organist of the choir at that church until her health failed her. On Wednesday Aug. 9, l899, she was married to NELSON KING, but their married life was to be of short duration and on Friday, Feb. 23, she was laid to rest enrobed in her wedding garments. The funeral was held at the home on Friday afternoon. Rev. E.C. Newland, of Promise City, who performed the marriage ceremony, preached the funeral sermon. Music was furnished by a select choir. The Rebekah Lodge of which organization the deceased was a member, assisted in the ceremonies.

She leaves a father in California, her husband, a sister, J.M. CULKINS, of Mena, Ark. her brothers, E.W., A.L. and E.J. TEALE, of this city, the latter being her twin brother, and numerous relatives and friends to mourn her loss.

The sympathy of all the friends are with these in their hour of trial, and may the peace of God be with them and comfort them.
