Obituary ~ Danny Dean Jackson
September 20, 1951 ~ August 18, 2014
Danny Dean Jackson, son of Frederick Dean Jackson and Wanda Elaine (Fortune) Jackson was born September 20, 1951 in Leon, Iowa and passed from this life Monday, August 18, 2014 at his home in Grand River, Iowa at 62 years of age.
Danny received his education in Clarke Community Schools. He was united in marriage to Marie Woods on December 11, 1969 at Osceola, Iowa and 2 sons, Shawn and Donny blessed this union.
Danny was a hard worker. He drove a truck many years, both owning his own truck and driving for others. Danny worked construction and also had a construction business with his son Shawn for many years. Recently he worked as a security guard for Lakeside Casino until his health caused him to retire. He was a member of Nock'D Up Hunting Club.
He enjoyed bowling, woodworking, hunting with shotgun, bow and black powder rifle. Also loved the quiet time of just sitting in the woods watching for deer or looking out his back porch watching the family of fox in an abandon building next door.. He enjoyed time with his dogs Jilly and Roman.
Those relatives who preceded Danny in death were his mother, Wanda Elaine Jackson; 2 brothers, Terry Jackson, Dennis Jackson; nephew, Christopher Jackson and his paternal grandparents and maternal grandparents.
Danny leaves to cherish his memory; wife, Marie Jackson of Grand River, IA; sons, Shawn Jackson of Osceola, IA, Donny Jackson of Creston, IA; father, Fred Jackson of Osceola, IA; nieces, Kristina Seaton of Cromwell, IA, Krystle (Chuck) Taylor of Creston, IA; Grandchildren, Denver Jackson, Duncan Jackson, Mason Jackson, Evvan Jackson all of Des Moines, IA, great nieces, Taylor Seaton of Cromwell, IA, Luetta "Lilly" Seaton of Cromwell, IA, Terrance Taylor of Creston, IA; great nephews, Austin Seaton of Cromwell, IA, Isaiah Taylor of Creston, IA. as well as other relatives and many friends.
Memorials may be directed to his family.
Funeral services were conducted at Kale Funeral Home of Osceola, Iowa, at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 22, 2014. Interment was made at Hebron Cemetery.
