Marsha grew up in Flint and graduated from high school in 1973. She came to Lamoni to attend Graceland College. She was on a winter school trip to Texas when she met Richard Wayne Jackel. Marsha had a long career at Graceland University working in the F.M. Smith Library, taking early retirement in 2014. She was very active in the Community of Christ church, serving as a Priest for many years. Marsha loved volunteering and teaching, as well as participating at reunions and camps at Guthrie Grove campgrounds. She was a founding member of Ceaseless Praise and used her music to minister to many people around the world. Marsha was a devoted wife, mother, and friend whose life was filled with love and laughter. She will be missed by so many.

Preceding her in death were her parents and father-in-law, R. Wayne Jackel.
