EDDITH IMHOFF, 85, Osceola Leisure Manor, died Aug. 27, 1985. Service was held Aug. 30, 1985 at the Kale Funeral Home in Osceola, with Evangelist LAWRENCE IMHOFF of Excelsior Springs, Mo. and Rev. CLIFFORD HAIDER of Osceola, officiating. Burial was in the Maple Hill Cemetery, Osceola.

EDITH MAY IMHOFF was born Sept. 11, 1899, North of Leon in Fairfield Community, to JOSHUA NEWTON MACHLAN and MARY ARNEY MACHLAN. She attended schools in Decatur County and married GEORGE IMHOFF in Fairview on Sept. 14, 1919. Four children were born to this union. She worked as a housewife, was a member of the Methodist Quilters Group and the United Methodist Church in Osceola.

Surviving are her husband, GEORGE of Osceola; sons; CHARLES IMHOFF and wife, EDITH, Leon; HARRY IMHOFF and wife, MILDRED, Osceola; ROSCOE IMHOFF and wife, MILDA, Osceola; daughter GLADYS BUCKINGHAM and JOHN, Des Moines; 13 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; sister PEARL MACHLAN of Osceola; and sister-in-law, HELEN NEW of Danville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter-in-law, ERMAN IMHOFF; three grandchildren; six brothers, CLARENCE, ELMER, HARRISON, MERITT, OLIN and HOMER MACHLAN; four sisters, VERDA GARDNER, LENNIE NORTHRUP, GERTRUDE EASTER and twin sister, ESTHER MACHLAN.
