JOHN S. JONES, better known as "COFFEE", died at his home in Hamilton

Township last Thursday. For several years he was a familiar figure

around Leon, where he peddled ax handles, cut wood and mowed grass.

He was a pensioner, drawing $30 per month. He was a member of Co. A,

Third Missouri, S.M. Cavalry.
