Decatur County Journal
September l8, l902
Little GEORGE M. JENNINGS, the only son of MR. and MRS. JENNINGS, died
at their home near Blockley on the morning of September llth at 8
o'clock, aged 8 months and l3 days. GEORGE was a bright little baby
of
his age and had won the loving affection of all who knew him. In spite
of all that kind hands and medical skill could do, the spirit took
its
flight to realms above, leaving father and mother and two sisters to
mourn his death.
The writer with many friends, extend sympathy to them in their hour
of
sorrow and trust they may be led to believe that the little one has
only
gone before. May they be prepared to meet him in the better world where
parting is never more. The little one was tenderly laid to rest in
the
New Salem Cemetery, funeral services being in charge of N.A. Still.
MARY MCDANIELS.
