JACOB INGRAM died at his home at Alvord, five miles north of Princeton, Mercer County, Mo., of typhoid fever. The deceased was born in Douglass County, Ill., Nov. 3, l86l. He was 40 years of age at death. He came with his parents to Decatur County, Iowa in the fall of l866, and was married to BELL SHIRLEY Jan. l, l89l. The deceased moved with his family to Mercer Co., Missouri in l897. Here at Alvord he continued to reside until death.

He leaves his wife, three small children, with a large circle of relatives and friends to mourn his permanent absence. The subject of this sketch professed a hope in Christ about a week before he died and was anxious to be at rest.

The funeral was held at the New Salem Church, services being conducted by the Pastor, after which the remains were laid to rest near the church to await the call of the resurrection at the last day. The bereaved wife and little children are worthy subjects of sympathy and care. May the kind Shepard comfort their stricken hearts by His grace.
