ANNIE CLAWSON was born in Denmark, June 22, l8l9, and died at the home
of J. JOHNSON, four and one-half miles northwest of Leon, May l7, l903,
aged 83 years, l0 months and 25 days. She was married to JAMES HANSON,
December l7, l85l. Seven children were born to them, of whom five died
in infancy, the two remaining being MRS. MARY HANSON of Ines Grove,
Wis., and MRS. J. JOHNSON at whose home she died. For some years her
home was in Chicago, but she came with her daughter's family to this
county about a year ago.

For some months she had been ill, but her death was very sudden at
last. She had been walking out of doors during the day and assisted in
the lighter work of the home in the evening, but passed away about
midnight. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. W.H. Ilsley and
the body was interred in the Leon Cemetery.
