Subject: OBITUARY - MRS. LIBBIE HAMILTON.

MRS. LIBBIE HAMILTON died at her home in east Leon, Sunday afternoon,

January 8, shortly before 3 o'clock, of pneumonia, aged 33 years, 9

months and l9 days. She was born April l9, l865. They have resided in

Leon constantly with the exception of a few months spent in Kansas City,

Missouri, and Cawker City, Kansas. She was well known to the people of

Decatur County, having been employed as clerk by the dry goods firm of

Young & Thompson and L.P. Sigler & Co., for a number of years.

The deceased numbered among her friends all with whom she had an

acquaintance, a kind, lovable disposition and forbearance, so beautiful

to behold, made her life a benediction. She united with the Christian

Church nearly one year ago, and has striven to live for the Christ. Her

loss will be despair felt in the home, the church, and the community.

One child came to bless the home of the departed, but it has long since

preceded the mother to the better land. Only six days before the death

of MRS. HAMILTON, her mother, MRS. HOFFMAN, succumbed to the destroying

angel. A bereaved father and brother and two sisters, have the sympathy

of many friends.

The funeral services were conducted by Elder C.F. Stevens, at the

Christian Church, on Tuesday afternoon, January l0. The remains were

laid to rest in the Leon Cemetery.
