ELIZABETH JANE GRAVES was born February 8, l824, in the State of Ohio, moved with her parents when six weeks old to Bartholaman County. Was married to BENJAMIN HAWKINS December 26, l839 and in September l849, moved to Davis County, Iowa. In September, l852, removed to Decatur County and settled on the farm where she died June 28, l903 being 79 years, 4 months and 20 days old.

Funeral at High Point the 29th of June at 2 o'clock. Interment being in the High Point cemetery beside her husband. To this union were born four children, three dying in infancy, the one, MRS. IDA SNYDER, remaining to mourn her loss. May peace reign.
