FLORA HAMILTON fell asleep to this life at the family home near Nira, Oklahoma, Monday. The friends and relatives here were much surprised to learn of her death as no one knew she was ill, a letter having been received by some of the family from JOHN HAMILTON last week stating all of "MELVIN's folks were well." About five years ago the deceased and MELVIN W. HAMILTON, youngest son of F.M. HAMILTON's, were united in marriage, and a year or two following they cast their lot in Oklahoma, procuring a nice farm and were getting along nicely. She was a much loved daugher of A.C. DALE, a member of Riverview Baptist Church west of town, and a Christian of a true character.
The remains were shipped to Davis City yesterday and taken to the home of her parents where the corpse lay in state until Tuesday at 11 o'clock. The remains will be laid to rest in New Salem Cemetery at the church. She leaves a bereaved husband, mother and father and other relatives, beside a number of sorrowing friends.
