CATHERINE NUNEMAKER was born in York County, Pa., June 7, l824, and died
at her residence, six miles west of Decatur, Iowa, June l4, l903, aged
79 years and 7 days. She was married to WM. A. GRAYSON Dec. 8, l844,
who survives her after fifty-nine years of married life. Of this
marriage there were born l2 children, nine sons and three daughters. Of
these, four sons have preceded the mother to the great beyond, leaving
the aged father and eight children, five sons and three daughters to
mourn the loss of a devoted wife and mother.

In early years she joined the Lutheran Church and remained a faithful
member until her removal to the west where she and her husband united
with the Presbyterian Church of Leon, and was a member of that church at
the time of her death. The funeral services were held on Monday, June
l5, and were conducted by the Rev. W.H. Ilsley, the interment being in
the family lot in the Leon Cemetery.
