From the Chastain Scrapbook:

Mrs. Lucy E., wife of Ira Gammill, died at the residence of James Gammill, in Hamilton township, on Monday night, aged 24 years, of consumption. she was the daughter of M. A. Wasson and leaves three small children. Mr. Gammill sold off his personal property a few weeks ago, with the intention of taking her to Colorado, but she never recovered sufficiently to be able to undertake the journey.
