FRANK HAMILTON GAMMILL, only and dearly loved child of MR. and MRS. M.A. GAMMILL, was born in Leon, Iowa, April l9, l899, and closed his eyes on the scenes of this life Friday morning, at l o'clock, April 25, l902. A severe attack of whooping cough about a year ago, weakened and left frail this tender little flower whose stay on earth, so brief and yet so bright and beautiful, has left behind a memory and a fragrance that will enrich the lives of those whose hearts are today lonely and sad for a season, because of its transplanting into the fields Elysian. But as nothing that is of God can ever be lost so the fond parents and friends who have realized in the love of this little child His most perfect gift to them, can now look up to the gleaming of the stars through the cypress trees and can confidently feel "that life is ever lord of death and love can never love its own."
Through weeks of suffering the little fellow developed the sweetest patience, endearing himself more and more to all who knew him. Bright and intelligent in mind beyond his years so he continued to the end. The funeral occurred Saturday, the short but most touching and comforting service being conducted by Elder H.H. Hubbell, of the Christian Church. The little white casket was covered with beautiful flowers, the offerings of loving and sympathizing friends and the white robed little form was tenderly laid to rest in the Leon Cemetery.
