Obituary.

FOWLER. - Lewis Fowler was born in Massachusetts on March 5, 1825, died at Albany, Mo., August 25, 1906. In the year 1850 he was married to Miss Esther HOLCOMB. To this union eleven children were born of whom eight survive. Those living are Lewis A. of Kansas City, George of Lamoni, Ed. of North Dakota, Edith, wife of William BRADLEY of Oklahoma; Hattie, widow of Samuel LASLEY, of St. Joseph; Esther, wife of Lewis MITCHELL, of Oklahoma; Laura, wife of John RABIDOU, of Albany, Mo., Elma, wife of Hugh GOOLD, of Kansas City. He came to Decatur county in 1874. His wife died in December 1886. In 1890 he was united in marriage to Mrs. Susan BECK, who departed this life on June 7, 1906. Mr. FOWLER had been in failing health for several months and after the death of Mrs. FOWLER he went to Albany to be with his daughter, Mrs. RABIDOU, where he died.

The funeral was held at Albany, Sunday morning and the body brought to Lamoni and interred in Rosehill. Funeral sermon was by Elder F. WARNKY, of Kansas City, prayer was offered and remarks made at the grave by Elder H. A. STEBBINS.
