OBITUARY

DON R. FOLAND

Don R. FOLAND, 68, died Monday, August 16 [2004] at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines [Polk Co., Iowa]. Services will be held 1:30 p.m., Thursday, August 19, at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Indianola.

Don was born in Grand River, Iowa and had lived in Indianola since 1972. He was a brakeman and conductor for the Rock Island Railroad for 23 years. In 1980, he began working for Godwin Brothers as a property manager, retiring in 2003. he enjoyed fishing, squirrel hunting, music and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Verda; daughter, Pamela MILLER BEACH; and son, Dan (Kris) FOLAND all of Indianola; brother Darel (Phyllis) FOLAND of Van Wert; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, August 18, at Overton Funeral Home where family will be present to greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be given to 1^st Assembly of God or Indianola Little League.
