OBITUARY

ARBEN CECIL FOLAND

Arben Cecil FOLAND, son of Luster and Nettie Margaret (BURCHETT) FOLAND, was born July 26, 1910, in Decatur County, Iowa, and died Sept. 8, 1991, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Des Moines, Iowa, age 81.

He received his education in the schools of Decatur County. On June 26, 1940, he married Dorotha Willene NEFF at Indianola, Iowa. He was a farmer and a sexton at Maple Hill Cemetery. He was a member of Eagles Lodge #3495, served as a 4-H leader in War and Knox townships, and for many years was Ward Township Clerk.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his widow Dorotha of Osceola, Iowa; two sons, A. Lendell FOLAND and wife Fran of Geneva, Iowa, and Dwayne C. FOLAND and wife Cathi of Des Moines; six grandchildren: Michael FOLAND and wife Pam of Mason City, Iowa; Michele SIMPSON and husband Jeff of Geneva; Nicolle BROWN and husband Rod of Waterloo, Iowa; Raquel LOREE and husband Aaron of Toledo, Ohio; and Kathy and Patty BRAMMER of Geneva; three great grandchildren: Jadelen and Cody SIMPSON and Davis BROWN; four sisters: Ava BOWLSBY and Ivene JOHNSON of Osceola, Ruth TUCKER of Peoria, IL, and Ica INGRAHAM of Sacramento, CA.
