MRS. MOSES EDWARDS, of Albia, sister-in-law of MRS. A.J. ALLEN, of Leon,

was instantly killed at San Antonio, Texas, on Thursday of last week as

the result of an accident which occurred while out driving with a

friend, a Mrs. Milburn.

The accident that caused MRS. EDWARDS' death was not an unusual

occurrence. She was out for an afternoon drive with her friend, Mrs.

Milburn, and the latter had gotten out of the buggy to go into her son's

home. Nobody being at home, Mrs. Milburn was starting to make inquiries

at the next door, but before she could do so, the horse started to turn

and MRS. EDWARDS was thrown violently out on her head, breaking her

neck. The horse did not run and the buggy did not turn entirely over.

The lines had gotten under the horse's tail and MRS. EDWARDS may have

fallen out in trying to reach over to straighten the lines. She was

instantly killed.
