Orel P. EstesOrel P. Estes, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. N. Estes, was born May 28, 1879 at
Pleasanton, Iowa, and departed this life in his seventy-fifth year on
December 22, 1953 at his home in Leon, Iowa.Mr. Estes lived most of his life in Iowa and had been actively engaged in
business in Leon since nineteen hundred eight. He was the oldest active Ford
dealer in the state having held the agency for almost 42 years.In the year of 1900 he was married to Maude Walker of Milo, Iowa, and of this
marriage was born one daughter, Ferne.He was a member of the Presbyterian church. His lodge affiliations were the
Grand River Lodge No. 78 A. F. and A. M., the Leon Chapter of the Order of
the Eastern Star, the Leon Chapter No. 33 of the Royal Arch Masons, Tripolis
Commandry No. 60 of the Knights Templar, and the Za-Ga-Zig Temple of the
Order of the Shrine, and for many years he was member of the Leon Rotary Club.He leaves many friends, his wife, a daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.
Wayne T. Dawson. Also, he is survived by his Mother, Mrs. J. N. Estes, and
