Decatur County Journal

Departed this life March l6, l888, BRO. A.R. ENDSLEY, of Terre Haute,
Iowa, of paralysis.  He was on his way to Decatur City with a load of
hogs and was taken very suddenly sick, and died in less time than
twenty-four hours.  He was born in the State of Indiana, October l2,
l8l2.  He leaves a wife and thirteen children to mourn his loss.  He
immigrated to this state in l85l and settled in Blackhawk County, came
to this county in l865, and has lived around Decatur City for nineteen
years.  Four weeks ago, he was converted to God three days after was
sanctified wholly, and died in the triumph of a living faith fully
settled and grounded in Christ.  His funeral was preached in the M.E.
Church in Decatur City by the writer from St. John l4:l-2.
