Lillian Lanyon EARLY
OBITUARYLillian Lanyon was born March 28, 1880 in New Buda Township, Decatur County, Iowa, and died at the state hospital in Oakdale, January 4, 1923. Her entire life was spent in this vicinity.
She was married to Joseph Early about twenty-three years ago, and to this union seven children were born, two little sons preceding her in death. Five remain, two sons and three daughters the oldest a daughter seventeen years of age, the youngest a babe of seventeen months, who with the husband mourn the loss of wife and mother.
Mrs. Early has been in failing health for a long time. She was taken to the state tubercular hospital at Oakdale a few weeks ago. During her last illness, she was cared for by Mrs. J. M. Case, who with Mrs. EarlyÕs step-father, Philip Coop, accompanied the body to Lamoni.
Funeral was held at Andover Sunday. Sermon by T. J. Bell, music was furnished by a quartette, consisting of Mrs. J. M. Lysinger, Mrs. J. W. Barr, Wm. Patterson and A. Otis White, accompanied by Mrs. Arthur Lane.
Interment in Andover cemetery. A sister, Mrs. H. W. Baker of Ogden, Iowa, attended the funeral.

Obituary mentions two little sons preceding her in death.
These two were son, Alma V. Earley; b. 02Nov1901 d. 08Dec1901.
Second was not a son but an infant daughter; b. 13Nov1905 d. 17Nov1905.
