NORMA LEE EARLEY

Norma Lee Earley, daughter of Williard Lee and Velva
Lorraine (Wasson) Owens, was born October 10, 1938 in Iowa
City, Iowa and died August 9, 1995 at her home in Leon, Iowa at
the age of 56 years.

Norma was married to Donald Dean Earley on November 7,
1959 at Princeton, Missouri. To this union were born five
children: Karleen, Donald, Rickey, Billy, and Lisa.

Norma loved her family and friends, she especially enjoyed
her grandchildren. Plants and animals, especially Yorkshire
Terrier dogs, were some of her loves.

She worked at Jimmy Dean in Osceola, Iowa prior to opening
the Little River Inn restaurant in Leon, of which she had many fond
memories.

She was a good friend and confidant.

Preceeding her in death were here parents; and sister Bessie Johnston
on June 2, 1958.

Survivors include her husband Don "Bones" Earley of Leon;
children: Karleen Booth and husband Randy; Don Earley and
friend Rhonda McDermott; and LIsa Earley and fiance Chris
Showers, all of Leon; Bill Earley and friend Tracy Thompson of
Garden Grove, Iowa; and Rick Earley and wife Michele of
Marshalltown, Iowa; seven grandchildren: Kevin Keiley of
Missoula, Montana; Chastine Celeste Blink of Marshalltown;
Brienna Kae Earley of Marshalltown; Billy K. Earley, Jr. and Autumn Nicole
Earley of Garden Grove; and Joseph R. Earley and
Bryan A. Earley of Patterson, Iowa; brothers Gordon Owens and
wife Retha; and Billy Keith Owens and wife Marilyn, all of
Leon; half sister Mary Williams and husband Bill of Anaheim,
California; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held at the Slade - O'Donnell
Funeral Home in Leon, Iowa at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, august 12,
1995 with pastor Loren Rumley officiating. Burial was in the
Leon Cemetery, Leon, Iowa.
