MRS. ELLINGTON was born near Leon, Iowa, February l5, l879, and died

near Ridgeway, Mo., August 2l, l905, aged 26 years, 6 months and 6 days

old. Her mother is MRS. EMALINE WHISLER and her father died several

years ago from a disease contracted while serving in the union army.

She was married to BENJAMIN F. ELLINGTON August l, l897. Two children,

CLARKSON, aged seven, and GRACIE, aged four years, are left motherless

by her death. When about l6 years of age she united with the Christian

Church and lived an upright life. When first seized with sickness she

said she would never get well but was not afraid to die. She had tried

to do her duty and her hope in God's promises was strong. Her only

regret was leaving her family for she was a devoted wife and mother.

She lived not for herself but for the happiness and comfort of those she

loved. She was accomplished and refined. Her beautiful home, now left

so desolate, contains many specimens of her work.

She leaves a husband, two children, a mother, two sisters, three

brothers, an aged grandmother, many other relatives and a host of

friends to mourn her early departure. In the presence of a large

concourse of friends the funeral services were conducted by Elder

Orahood, of Bethany. The body was tenderly laid to rest in the Ridgeway

Cemetery in a grave lined with white, made beautiful with flowers, there

to await the resurrection morn.
