> STEPHEN EASTER, who had been suffering for months from cancer of the

> stomach, passed away last Thursday about 4 o'clock p.m. The funeral

> services were conducted by Rev. Ragan, Pastor of the Christian Church in

> the presence of a large audience of sympathizing friends. Those

> attending the funeral from out of town were George Machlan, of Leon;

> R.D. Chapman, of Weldon; Rev. Edgar Price, of Diagonal. His brothers and

> sisters, six in number, were all present with their companions, except

> Mr. Arnold. The cummunity feels that a good man is gone and the family

> have the sympathy of the entire community.

> The last will of STEPHEN E. EASTER has been filed with the Clerk of the

> District Court. One-third of the estate is bequeathed to the widow.

> ALVERT are given one-third of personal property except monies and

> credits, with an additional $l00 each in money. A tract of land is

> given his daughter, NELLIE GRANT, as is done with his son, CLAUDE

> ELMER. Land is also divided among his children, FLOSSIE MAY EASTER and

> LELA BELLE EASTER. In a last paragraph all monies and credits remaining

> are bequeathed to the widow. A.E. Price, of Van Wert, is appointed sole

> executor without bond.
