MRS. LYDIA EVANS, generally known as Grandma JORDAN, died at her home in Woodland Township, Decatur County, on last Wednesday, in her 80th year. She was the mother of J.P. JORDAN, of Garden Grove, ABE JORDAN, of Decatur County, and JAKE JORDAN, of Nebraska. Her former husband, JACOB JORDAN, died in l863, and subsequently she was married to ROBERT EVANS, who died about fifteen years ago. She was one of the early settlers of that section.

The funeral was held on Thursday afternoon and the remains interred at the Shields Graveyard.
