DIED

At Arlington, Kans., Nov. 18th, 1893, Florence B. ELLIOT, aged 19 yrs., 5 mo., 15 days.

Florence B. ELLIOT, daughter of David H. and Louie A. ELLIOT, was born June 3rd, 1874, at Garden Grove, Iowa. She came to Kansas with her parents in the spring of 1877. She united with the Presbyterian church of Arlington in Feb., 1890. Her health began to fail about the first of April, 1892, and it was soon manifest that she had contracted the dread disease of consumption. She was a constant sufferer from that time until her sickness terminated fatally at 5 o'clock in the morning of Nov. 18th, 1893. All that medical skill and loving hands could do was done for her recovery, but nothing could avail to stay the progress of the unrelenting malady which was slowly but surely destroying her young life. During her illness she was patient and cheerful, her last hours were very peaceful and she was not afraid to die. She only regretted the necessity of leaving the loved ones of her home and her many other friends for a season. Her trust in Him, who is the resurrection and the life, never wavered. The funeral services were held in the Presbyterian church and the large number of people in attendance was an evidence of the esteem in which she was held in this community. A. A.
