THOS. DILLON died at his home in Eden Township Friday, November 4, l892,
of derangement of the stomach and was buried in the Catholic Cemetery in
Woodland Township, Sunday, November 6th.

The deceased was born in County Kerry, Ireland, and was 53 years of age
at the time of his death.  He left his native country in l849 to try his
fortune in America, first settling in Ohio.  He removed to Decatur
County in l866 and has since been a resident of this place.

It may be said of TOM DILLON, as he was familiarly called, that he was
an honest man, loved and respected by his neighbors and all who knew
him. By his energy he had secured a comfortable home and surrounded
himself with the luxuries of life.  He was a practiced illustration of
the adage that "honesty has its reward".
