Decatur County Journal
February 23, l893

HARRY DAILY was born April l5, l864, and died January 29, l893.  HARRY
was devoted to home and its interests.  There was nothing too hard for
him to undertake as a task if it was to bring comfort to his parents or
sisters, thinking not of self.

But consumption, that much dreaded disease of mankind fixed firmly
within him--he must go sooner or later.  He was fully conscious of his
approach to the dark river but dreaded not its chilling wave.  He
frequently spoke of his short stay on earth and always with a peculiar
calmness for one of his age.

Many young men can learn a valuable lesson by emulating his devotedness
to his parents.  HARRY is gone, but the many acts of kindness done by
him, will never be effaced from the memory of those he loved.

His remains were followed to Oak Hill Cemetery by a large concourse of
friends on the 3lst, where he was quietly laid to rest, there to await
the resurrection of all.
