MEDA ENID WILANTT, daughter of JOHN and LUCY WILANTT, was born north of Decatur, March l4, l882, and died at El Reno, Oklahoma, July l2th, l902, aged 20 years, 3 months and 28 days.
She was united in marriage to W.B. DOBSON at Leon, Iowa, Feb. 7, l900. They were the parents of one little daughter, ENID IRENE, who died with the whooping cough, Feb. l5, l902.
MEDA was a patient sufferer with Bright's disease for over a year. Last March in company with her husband and parents, she went to Oklahoma in hopes of regaining her health, but gradually grew worse until death relieved her. Once again the family circle is broken to make one more tie in Heaven; as it was God's will let us look to Him for comfort. She leaves a devoted husband, mother, father, two sisters and two brothers and other relatives and friends to mourn the loss of a loved one.
The funeral services were conducted at the Decatur Christian Church by Rev. Harvey. Interment in the Decatur Cemetery.
A precious one from us has gone,
A voice we loved is stilled.
A place is vacant in our hearts,
Which never can be filled.
God in His wisdom has recalled
The boon His love has given,
And though the body slumbers here,
The soul is safe in Heaven.
