JIMMIE WAYNE DAVIS, infant son of brother and sister D. DAVIS, was born Oct. 3rd, l898, died Aug. l2th, l899, aged l0 months and 9 days, after an illness of l5 days, during which time all possible effort was made to restore the little one to health. He was a bright and winsome child, and in his brief stay with the fond parents, had become the joy of the home and he will be greatly missed; but while our hearts are saddened by his loss, we are sure that our loss is his gain, since his disease was in the state of infancy we are assured that provision is made for his eternal welfare: "For of such is the Kingdom of God."

Funeral services were held at the home Sunday afternoon and the remains laid at rest in the Davis City Cemetery.
