Pleasanton, Iowa, Feb. l6, l902:
To the comfort and to share the grief and sorrow of Brother and Sister SAM DALE, we do deeply sympathize with grief in love on account of the death of little CATASIS OPAL DALE, who was born July 26, l899, and died August 25, l90l, only being sick three months with cholera infantum. GLEN OKIE DALE was born September l2, l896, and died August 28, l90l only being sick l4 days with bowel trouble. Those little children were the favorites with the little twin sisters of little brother which was loved by every one that ever knew them, and their deaths brought sorrow to us all on account of the health of the family.
The funeral was put off until the l6th of this month at l11o'clock. Funeral services were held at New Salem preached by the Pastor in the presence of many sorrowing friends and relatives. While we all know that they are better off now than many of us living here in this world of trouble. We don't weep as those who have no hope for we know we shall all meet again. They leave a father and mother, 5 brothers and 3 sisters to mourn their loss, and the pastor and friends with them. May the God of Heaven keep us all humble and faithful until He calls us one by one when we shall meet them who are gone before. Then we shall clasp our hands with the loved ones and with our Savior who died for us. Text, Luke l8:l6, "And Jesus called them unto Him, and said, "Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not, for of such is the Kingdom of God."
