J. B. Cline Dropped Dead Yesterday Morning.
J. B. Cline dropped dead at his home in east Leon yesterday morning about 10:30 o'clock. Mr. Cline had gone out in the yard to black a stove, and Mrs. Cline going out of the house found him lying on the ground dead, the blacking brush being still clasped in his hand, his death being caused from heart trouble, and he must have died without a struggle.
Mr. Cline was 71 years of age, but was quite an active man for his years, and was working right along at his shop at his home, painting signs and doing auto painting. Mr. and Mrs. Cline celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on June 24th.
He is survived by his wife [Laura], two sons, C. G. Cline, of Leon, and H. V. Cline, of Cherokee, Iowa. Arrangements for the funeral had not been completed at the time The Reporter went to press.
[Interment was made at Jefferson Cemetery, Jefferson, Greene County, Iowa.]
