George A. CHICK, son of Mr. and Mrs. Madison CHICK, was born near Leon, Iowa, Oct. 4, 1885, and departed this life March 5, 1920, being at the time of his death, 34 years, 5 months and 1 day old. Mr. CHICK moved with his parents to their farm three miles south of Grand River, when eight years of age, where he spent the remainder of his life. His father preceded him in death about 16 years ago. He was united in marriage to Grace BRAUN (sic), Nov. 17th, 1907. One daughter was born to this union, Fern V. Her life was only of four daysí duration, the death angel calling her October 30, 1909. He leaves to mourn his departure, a loving wife, mother, one brother, two sisters, besides a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the Christian Church, Tuesday, March 9, at two o'clock, conducted by Rev. E. C. VANDERPOOL. Interment in Oak Hill Cemetery [near Grand River, Decatur County, Iowa].
