CLYDE WALTER CRAIG

Clyde Walter, son of W. F. and Jenettie Cross Craig, was born Aug. 26, 1898

on a farm near Akron, Mo. and died at the Decatur County Hospital Oct. 7,

1971 at the age of 73 years, 1 month and 11 days. At a young age he moved

with his parents to a farm near Davis City, Iowa. He spent his life as a

farmer in the Davis City-Pleasanton area,

On Oct. 5, 1918 he was united in marriage to Capitola Robison. They lived

their married years on the same farm. To this union three children, were

born : Tonita Helton, Leon; Clyde Lyle, Sweeny, Texas; and Loretta Kirtley,

Cresco, Iowa.

Clyde accepted Christ as his Savior and was baptized Jan. 28, 1917. He

united with the Providence Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife in 1965, his mother and three brothers,

Lloyd, John and Clair.

He is survived by his children, 2 sons-in-law and I daughter-in-law; father

W. F. Craig; and brother, Garland of Leon; two sisters: Clarice Hawk, Davis

City, and Louise Hill, Leon; other relatives and friends.
