MRS. REBECCA A. CROFT died at her home in Cambria, Iowa, April l3, l905,
aged 7l years and l0 months. Her remains were brought to Chariton
Saturday evening and taken to the home of her daughter, MRS. ELIZABETH
HEMPHILL, where on Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, funeral services were
conducted by Rev. George T. Roberts, Pastor of the M.E. Church in
Cambria. Interment followed in the Chariton Cemetery.

REBECCA SCOTT was born in Greene County, Pa., June l3, l834. She was
married to ARTEMUS RUSH in l854. Eleven children blessed this union,
six of whom survive, viz: MRS. ELIZABETH HEMPHILL, Chariton, Iowa; MRS.
JENNIE VAN WERDEN, Cambria, Iowa; MRS. MAGGIE GOODROW, Chicago,
Illinois; EDWARD E. RUSH, Nevada, Mo.; JOHN RUSH, Sedalia, Mo.; W.A.
RUSH, Cambria, Iowa. She came to Fairfield, Iowa, about l8(??).
Although she had not lived here all the time since then, Chariton or
this locality has been her home for the most of the time and she was
well known to the people of Chariton as 'MOLLIE RUSH'. In l8(??) she was
married to JOHN CROFT. She was beloved by all who knew her. MRS. CROFT
was an earnest Christian, having given her heart to the Master at the
age of sixteen. For a number of years she was a member of the Baptist
Church, and until her death, was a conscientious, devoted Christian.
The bereaved family have the sympathy of many friends in their
bereavement.
