MRS. ELLA SEVERE COOPER was born in Mt. Liberty, Knox County, Ohio, Oct.

23, l858, where she grew to womanhood. April 3, l883, she was married

to GEORGE B. COOPER in the Union Church at Davis City, Iowa. They soon

moved to Prophetstown, Illinois, where they remained some time. Later

they lived in different places; about four years ago they moved to

Superior, Nebraska. About three months ago she was taken with pneumonia

fever, la grippe and later complications, causing her death at l2

o'clock, January 2l, l90l, age 42 years, 2 months and 28 days.

About seven years ago she and her husband united with the M.E. Church.

She has lived a consistent Christian and died in the triumph of a living

faith in Christ which cheered her greatly in her suffering in which she

was very patient. Her husband, two sisters, MRS. S.R. FRAZIER, Des

Moines, Iowa, and MRS. H.E. INGRAHAM, Dixon, Id., (who has been with her

the last two months alleviating her suffering as much as possible) four

brothers, A.M. and W.L. SEVERE, Davis City, Iowa, F.L. SEVERE of St.

Louis, Mo., F.M. SEVERE, St. Joseph, Mo., and a great host of other

relatives and friends wherever she has been, mourn her loss.

Her body was conveyed to the M.E. Church from the 2:20 p.m. passenger

train, Wednesday, January 23. The service was conducted by Rev. Rusk

and her body now rests in the Davis City Cemetery.
